Day 2 of Evo 2019 ended with a bang!
On the very last round of Street Fighter V’s semi-final stage, Hiroki “Kichipa-Mu” Asano pulled off one of the greatest comebacks ever by putting together 23 seconds of perfect play.
Kensuke “Trashbox” Ishikawa was on the verge of evening out the score 1-1, but Kichipa-Mu was able to land three heavy spinning-piledrivers, which stunned Trashbox. Then he clutched out the round with a perfectly executed V-Trigger combo with Zangief.
If that wasn’t enough, Kichipa-Mu then treated us to one of the greatest pop-offs ever by raising his hand in the air and bringing a large inflatable donut onto the stage to celebrate.
Kichipa-Mu advances to top eight of Evo Street Fighter V where he’s set to face Fujimura in the lower bracket.
