Streamer, content creator, and OfflineTV member Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang made waves in the esports scene when his newly formed Valorant team, Disguised (DSG), qualified for the NA Challengers League on January 13.
Toast, who co-streamed all of his team’s matches, got emotional after his squad qualified for Challengers Split 1.
“I’m just very happy, and I hope they are happy as well,” said Toast after his team defeated Oxygen Esports in the upper bracket semifinal match.

Disguised Toast’s team makes it into NA Challengers League
Toast surprised with an announcement on January 8 that he had officially signed a professional Valorant team that would compete in the NA Challengers open qualifiers.
According to the streamer, DSG had only been practicing together for two months before the open qualifier.
Toast opted for veteran leadership to head up his roster. Former 100 Thieves in-game leader Joshua “steel” Nissan was picked up by Toast roughly four months after he took a step back from T1’s Valorant roster. The organization eventually moved to the Asia Pacific region for the VCT 2023 season.
The remainder of the roster was filled out by Knights players and coaching staff, comprising Damion “XXiF” Cook, Amgalan “Genghsta” Nemekhbayar, Drake “Exalt” Branly, and coach Kyle “OCEAN” O’Brien. They all became free agents when they parted ways with the NA organization toward the end of last year.
Up-and-coming Valorant star Joseph “clear” Allen rounded out the team. He had other offers from Tier 1 organizations, said Toast, but the Filipino player chose to play with DSG.
Led by steel, DSG went on a perfect 7-0 run in the NA Challengers open qualifier, an impressive record compared to teams stacked with FPS pedigree like The Nation.
Along the way, DSG defeated Drift, Coconut Munchers, Entertainment District, Team Fish Taco, where is fullerton, NCIS, and most notably Oxygen Esports, which fielded former Cloud9 player Mitch “mitch” Semago.
DSG only dropped two maps in the open qualifier, once on Icebox against Team Fish Taco, followed by their final map loss on Fracture versus where is fullerton.
Qualifying for the NA Challengers League on their first run is a huge step for such a young team, even with steel at the helm. The 33-year-old will be looking to redeem himself after a disappointing 2022 with T1.
DSG’s journey continues in the NA Challengers Split 1, which will take place from February 1 to March 17.
Toast’s Valorant squad will face stronger competition in M80, FaZeClan, TSM, Shopify Rebellion, G2 Esports, The Guard, Team BreakThru, Oxygen Esports, Dark Ratio, and the two teams that emerge from the NA Challengers Last Chance qualifier.
