The Valorant Champions Tour continues worldwide, and this weekend, Southeast Asia names a new champion for the VCT SEA Challengers.
The winner will be representing the region in VCT Stage 2: Masters Reykjavik against teams from all over the world, and taking home the lion’s share of the US$50,000 prize pool. Masters Reykjavik is set for May 24th – 30th, 2021.
Valorant’s year-long circuit of regional and international esports tournaments builds up to a Champions event at the end of the year, to crown the first-ever Valorant world champion.
The following ten teams from different regions will be competing in the playoffs, in a double-elimination bracket:
- X10 (Thailand)
- Full Sense (Thailand)
- NXL Ligagame (Indonesia)
- BOOM Esports (Indonesia)
- Bren Esports (the Philippines)
- 6045 Pirates (the Philippines)
- Cerberus Esports (Vietnam)
- Fearus (Vietnam)
- CBT Gaming (Hong Kong and Taiwan)
- Paper Rex (Malaysia/Singapore)
Initial matches will be Bo3, while Lower Round matches will be Bo1. The Lower Finals and Upper Finals will be Bo3, and the Grand Final will be Bo5. The playoffs will begin on Thursday, April 29 at 2:00 p.m. GMT+8, with the grand final on Sunday, May 2.
