Valorant Champions 2023 to take place in Los Angeles
The location of Valorant Champions 2023 was revealed alongside the debut of Gekko, Valorant’s 22nd agent.
The new character, whose upbringing was shaped by the cultural heritage of his parents and the influence of his hometown, was born and raised in L.A. Gekko is expected to be a prominent figure at Champions this year, similar to how Brazilian duelist agent Raze was featured in São Paulo at VCT LOCK//IN.
This year’s Valorant world championship will see the top 16 teams with the most VCT points battle it out.
There are two iconic locations in Los Angeles that will play host to Valorant Champions 2023. From August 6 to 20, the qualified teams will battle it out at the Shrine Auditorium for a chance to make it to the Champions weekend.
The action continues at the KIA Forum where the remaining teams will battle it out from August 24 to 26.
Riot Games has yet to announce when Champions will take place. According to the VCT 2023 schedule, after VCT LOCK//IN, all partnered teams will return to their respective regions to compete in the first VCT international leagues.
After the Americas, EMEA, and Pacific leagues is Masters Tokyo, scheduled for June 11 to 25. The VCT 2023 season concludes with the Last Chance Qualifiers, which will take place just before Valorant Champions 2023.
