Tyson “TenZ” Ngo has a particular preference when it comes to Valorant weapon skins.
The superstar player revealed his Valorant skin tier list, ranking every weapon skin from best to worst when he was still with Cloud9 two years ago.
When TenZ joined Sentinels in 2021, he adjusted his entire collection to red weapon skins to fit the team’s color. He took a liking to the Reaver Operator and Vandal from Episode 1 Act II, and the Reaver Phantom from Episode 5 Act I. Red weapon skins became staples in his collection — but with one exception.

TenZ’s Valorant skin tier list from Episode 1 Act II
S-tier
Ranked TenZ’s top three best skin lines are the Ronin, Oni, and Sakura, which shows how much he likes the Japanese-themed weapons.
Out of all the S-tier skins, “the Ronin Operator is the best Valorant skin ever, and Ronin is my favorite skin,” TenZ said.
The Ronin Valorant skin was initially released during the closed beta, but has yet to be announced by the Valorant game developers.
However, all other collection skins on the tier list appear in Valorant’s store daily rotation randomly and can be purchased with Valorant Points (VP).
Aside from the three skins, TenZ also ranked the DOT EXE Judge and Vandal skins highly, which were released in the first Valorant Battle Pass from Episode 1 Act I.
A-tier
TenZ then explained that the Kingdom Act I Battlepass Knife and Classic skins had average designs. The Valorant pro classified them as a, “Really good deal,” saying that the Classic skin reminded him of the unsilenced USP-S from CS:GO.
He also put the Couture Bulldog and Marshal from Episode 1 Act I’s Battle Pass in A tier, and the Rush Bulldog and Phantom collection which cost 875 VP.
The last skin to make it into his A-tier was the Sovereign melee — the first sword-type weapon in Valorant. It can be purchased from the store for 3,550 VP.
B-tier
The famous Twitch streamer placed the Avalance and Prime collections as the most notable skins in his average tier list.
C-tier
TenZ disclosed that he was really disappointed with the Luxe collection. The Prism skins are, “Underwhelming since it’s just a rework of the normal skins,” he explained.
D-tier
Finally, in the bottom tier, TenZ called the Aristocrat, Galleria (except for the Phantom variant), and the Imperium skins really ugly skins.
He also put Valorant’s first Ultra skin line, the Elderflame, in D-tier, saying that the weapon animations for the Vandal and the Operator are too distracting.
“I hate the Dragon skins because my brain can’t handle the animations,” said TenZ. “They distract me, especially when I’m Oping. It feels like I’m playing to get distracted.”
