Move over, Skye. Valorant has a new beastmaster.
Coming from the streets of Los Angeles, Gekko joins the Valorant roster as the game’s sixth initiator agent. He boasts a colorful design and personality that pairs perfectly well with his abilities.
As the leader of his tight-knit crew of calamitous creatures, he can survey the map and scatter his enemies across the battlefield.
Valorant agent 22’s abilities can flash, stun, and detain opponents. He also has a grenade and a scout that can plant and defuse the spike for his team.
Most of his abilities are also reclaimable, which means he can use them again after a short cooldown after picking them up.
Here’s everything you need to know about Gekko.

What you need to know about Gekko’s agent abilities
Dizzy (E) – Signature ability
Equip Dizzy, the floating blue creature. Fire to send Dizzy soaring forward through the air. Dizzy will charge ahead and unleash a plasma blast at enemies in her line of sight. Opponents that are hit by her plasma will be blinded.
When Dizzy expires, she reverts into a dormant globule. Gekko can interact with the globule and gain another Dizzy charge after a short cooldown.
Wingman (Q)
Equip Wingman, the yellow scout. Fire to send Wingman forward to seek enemies on the map. Wingman will unleash a concussive blast toward the first enemy he sees. Players can use alt fire and target a spike site or a planted spike to have Wingman plant or defuse the spike.
To plant, Gekko must have the spike in his inventory. When Wingman expires, he reverts to a dormant globule. Interact with it to reclaim the globule and gain another charge with the Wingman ability after a short cooldown.
Mosh Pit (C)
Equip Mosh, the ball-shaped green critter. Fire to throw Mosh like a grenade. Use alt fire to throw Mosh underhanded. Upon landing, Mosh duplicates across a large area, and after a short delay, the ability explodes.
Thrash (X) ultimate
Equip Thash, the shark-like beast. Fire to link Thrash’s mind and steer her through enemy territory. Activate the ability to lunge forward and explode. Enemies caught in the explosion’s small radius will be detained.
When Thrash expires, she reverts into a dormant globule. Interact with it to reclaim Thrash and gain another ultimate charge after a short cooldown. She can only be reclaimed once.
Gekko will be available to play on March 8, 2:00 a.m. GMT+8 when Episode 6 Act 2 drops.
