Cloud9 has nearly completed the rebuild of its Valorant roster with two new faces. The organization has been looking to fill the two spots left void with the recent departures of Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker and Anthony “vanity” Malaspina.
According to a report by Dot Esports, the boys in blue will be rounding out their five-man roster with Jake “jakee” Anderson and Dylan “runi” Cade.

Runi and Jakee are being thrown into the spotlight with Cloud9
Jakee has been competing in the collegiate scene since 2023 began and would be making his first foray into the top echelon of competitive Valorant with this move. He previously attempted to qualify for the Challengers league but fell short.
Runi, on the other hand, previously played for Soniqs where he served as the in-game leader for the squad from April 2022 until January 2023.
These are relatively unknown players when you compare them to the likes of yay and Vanity, and some are worried it may be a lot of pressure given the “heat” of the community can be a bit unbearable at times. This is exactly what former 100 Thieves coach Sean Gares worries about.
When your job is to fill the shoes of the best player of 2022 and an in-game leader that helped the organization become one of the best in the region if not the world, the expectations are high.
No official documents have been signed, but it is expected this will be the roster the organization elects to move forward with.
The team will have limited time to work together on a game plan with their first match to take place in the VCT North Americas league on April 3. The new roster will debut against Evil Geniuses.
