To celebrate Wild Rift: League of Legends Open Beta’s expansion to nine new regions, Riot Games will be hosting a YouTube livestream event for players to unite in the biggest Baron battle in history.
The new regions who will be participating in the extended open beta are Vietnam, Oceania, Taiwan, Europe, Turkey, Russia and CIS, Middle East and North Africa. However, anyone who watches the livestream can be part of the battle.
How it works is that you’ll type [1], [2], [3] or [4] in chat, which then allows you to cast Smite as well as other abilities. A voting system determines which attacks are used. Baron will then respond dynamically.
As such, players will have to work together if they wish to defeat Baron Nashor, since only the attacks with the most votes will go through.
Even so, as seasoned League of Legends players, we all know that defeating Baron requires some strategy. According to Riot, different attacks will be empowered at different times, and will deal bonus damage.
In addition, some legendary champions of Runeterra will also be available to join the battle. Again, the catch is that everyone in the live chat will need to come to a consensus to summon them by typing [5].
