Warzone 2.0 drops Operators into the arid desert of Al Mazrah. From idyllic villages and craggy mountains to an urban metropolis, Al Mazrah is a vast expanse to be explored and looted.
Its sheer size also means that a lot of your fights may take place at long range, even if its numerous built-up areas still allow for plenty of close-quarter engagements.
And unlike other battle royales, you can create a custom loadout and access it in-game if you complete the right objectives. Here’s a look at the best guns to use in the current Warzone 2.0 meta and their optimal builds and class setups.
The 5 best guns, loadouts, and class setups for Warzone 2.0
Kastov 762
The Kastov 762 hits hard and has excellent range, making it one of the best picks for Warzone 2.0. It will shred opponents at most ranges, even if they have level three purple armor.
That said, your build for battle royale will differ quite a bit from what you put together for multiplayer. Range is far more important in Al Mazrah than it is on the smaller core maps, which is why you’ll want to first slap on a higher magnification optic to give you an edge in those long-distance fights.
The Schlager 3.4x optic provides a nice middle ground between close-range engagements and sniper scopes. You’ll be able to take on distant opponents, while not being completely handicapped if they’re just around the corner.
Both the Polarfire-S muzzle and KAS-10 584mm Barrel also help to increase range and improve recoil, so you can more easily focus down opponents far away. The Kastov 762 has more kick than most of the assault rifles in the game, so recoil control is crucial.
The 40 Round Mag will also prove handy in a pinch when you’re facing down a full squad, ensuring you don’t have to reload as often.

TAQ-56
Just like the Kastov 762, you’ll want to build the TAQ-56 to focus on boosting damage range to help you with those long-range fights.
That’s where the 17.5″ Tundra Pro Barrel comes in, alongside the Echoless-80 muzzle. You’ll of course be sacrificing some aim down sights speed, but that isn’t the top priority here for this build.
The 60 Round Mag provides a large magazine to mow down two to three enemies before having to reload.
Together with attachments to help recoil control like the Tactique Brute Stock, the TAQ-56 should feel very reliable in hand even at range.

Fennec 45
The Fennec 45 is a must-have in your arsenal if you’re expecting a lot of close-quarters combat. It tears opponents apart at close range with its rapid fire rate, although you will need to make every bullet count, even with the Fennec Mag 45 magazine extension.
There’s no point putting too much effort into trying to turn it into a long-range monster, and you’ll find it more effective to build for mobility and aggression instead.

RPK
The RPK has the range and power of an LMG, while still retaining some of the mobility of a more traditional assault rifle.
That said, this class setup plays toward its strengths at range while sacrificing agility. This will be a laser beam at range, but at the cost of slower aim down sights speed.
Its low recoil and higher bullet velocity from the 7.62 rounds will help you land more shots as you melt opponents a mile away. The RAAL MG is a close rival, but it feels far clunkier to wield.

EBR-14
The EBR-14 marksman rifle is something of a sleeper hit. It is deadly in the right hands, and landing those headshots will see you delete entire squads from the map.
This is a medium-range weapon, and the Polarfire-S suppressor and 22″ Boremaster Barrel both help improve bullet velocity so you don’t have to lead your shots as much. Meanwhile, the FTAC Valor Stock reduces recoil, which should make it easier to land consecutive shots.
If you are not finding your opponents’ skulls, the EBR-14 will require three to four body shots to kill.
