Olympics and esports fans, get ready to give your best “Hadouken!” chant at the Intel World Open 2020.
Intel World Open 2020 is an esports competition by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and its worldwide sponsor Intel. The tournament will serve as a front event before the Olympic proper starts.
Fighting game Street Fighter and vehicular soccer title Rocket League were the games revealed to be included in the competition. A prize pool of US$500,000 will be given away to the winners of the Open.

The Intel World Open finals will be held in Zepp DiverCity in Tokyo from July 22-24, 2020, followed immediately by the Olympics on July 24.
Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono even posted a tweet about his excitement for Street Fighter’s involvement in the event.
